Description
The stable block, built around 1800, is located to the west and slightly north of Holme Hall. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped pantile roof. The building is single storey, with a central bay that rises to 1½ storeys and consists of three bays in total. The central bay slightly projects and includes a central doorway with a stable door, flanked by a single metal casement window on either side. Above, the loft has a central double door. There are five raised brick bands running along the top of the central bay, which are interrupted by the loft and spaced so that the lower band aligns with the raised brick eaves of the outer bays. Each of the outer bays has a large double door, with a clock positioned above the southern door. This stable block is included in the listing for its group value.
