Description
Chilly Bridge is a road bridge over the River Exe, dating from the 18th century or earlier, and was restored in the late 19th century. It is constructed of flat bedded local slate, with the north-east parapet renewed in squared local stone and the south-west corner of the parapet cemented. The bridge features slate rubble voussoirs and saddleback slate coping. It has a single span with a 4-centred arch and a humpbacked design, with the parapet swept back at the north-east and south-west corners during the restoration.
