Description

Pittmoor is a former farmhouse that has been converted into a private house. It likely dates from the early 17th century but was superficially remodeled in the early 19th century. The building is constructed of painted stone rubble and features a hipped slated roof. There is a large rendered chimney on the rear wall to the right. The layout consists of two rooms with a central passage that now leads to the stairs at the rear. The house is two storeys high and five windows wide. A gabled porch with stone seats is located at the front, along with a mounting-block. The windows are plain wood-framed and were added in the 20th century. To the right, there is a lean-to with a rounded corner.

Inside, the right-hand room on the ground floor has a chamfered ceiling beam with step-stops, and there is a rear fireplace with a plain wood lintel. An old plank door with strap hinges is also present. Although the upper storey was not inspected, a description from 1973 notes that it features a roof with massive principals and lapped collars.
