Description

Chapel Cottage is a cottage that likely dates from the 18th century, with a 19th-century wing at the front. It features rendered granite rubble walls and a thatched roof, which is gabled to the right and hipped to the left. The original layout was probably a two-room plan, with the wing adding an extra room at the front of the left room, creating an L-shaped plan. The building is two storeys high, with one window on the main block and one window on the front of the wing. The windows are early 20th-century casements with glazing bars, including two- and three-light designs, and there is a smaller, older casement on the first floor immediately to the right of the wing. A lean-to porch at the angle with the wing has a 20th-century plank door. The interior has not been inspected. The cottage is included for its group value.
