Description
This is a cartshed and shippon located about 15 metres south-east of Bittleford Farmhouse, dating from the late 19th century or early 20th century. It is constructed from granite rubble and features a slated roof. The building is single-storey, with space for two carts on the left side and three shippon doorways with segmental arches on the right side. The north-east gable wall and south-east rear wall, which face the road, have no openings except for two drain outlets in the rear wall. Inside, the shippon contains good wooden fittings and concrete feeding-troughs, and it has a king-post-and-ridge roof.
