Description
Tredington House Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse with later extensions at the rear. It features square-panelled timber framing with rendered infill set on a limestone plinth, although some walls are fully rendered. The roof is covered with red tiles and has brick stacks. The original layout is 'T'-shaped, with small timber-framed and 19th-century extensions at the rear left. The building has two storeys and an attic, with the entrance front displaying a gable that projects forward on the right. Most of the windows are 20th-century wood casements, with three large 6-pane windows opening at the ground floor. To the left of the forward-facing gable is a large 19th-century six-panelled front door that has been glazed at the top. There is a large projecting stack to the left of the door, which is decorated with a blind arch featuring keystones and imposts, as well as a projecting stack at the left gable end. An axial composite stack serves the range running back from the forward-facing gable. Inside, there is an open fireplace approximately 4 meters wide with a wooden bressumer, and a bread oven with separate access built into the rear of the fireplace. The tie beams are adorned with deep flat chamfers.
