Description

Manor Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with 19th-century extensions. It features square-panelled timber framing, with the central part of the main body having a flat-chamfered stone plinth and brick painted to imitate timber framing above. The roof is covered with red tiles and slate, and there are brick stacks. The main body has a 'U'-shaped plan. To the right, there is a 19th-century lean-to extension, and at the rear right, there are 20th-century extensions that are not of special interest.

The farmhouse has two storeys and an attic. The entrance front displays two timber-framed gables that project forward on the left and right sides. The attic above the central portion features two 20th-century triangular dormers, also painted to imitate timber framing. The first floor is lit by one two-light and one three-light stone-mullioned casement with steel casements, while the ground floor has one two-light and one three-light wood casement. There is likely a 19th-century stair projection towards the right-hand gable, which includes a tall stone-mullioned cross-window.

To the left of the stair projection, there is a 19th-century four-panelled door with a gabled projecting slate canopy. The left-hand gable has a 20th-century two-light casement on the first floor, and the right-hand gable has two fixed casements on the ground floor and a two-light casement on the first floor. At the rear, there are two two-light stone-mullioned casements on the first floor and two large projecting limestone stacks with brick shafts. Inside, the farmhouse features deep flat-chamfered tie beams and a small 19th-century range by Humphries of Cheltenham in the right-hand wing.
