Description
Little Witcombe House is a detached house dating from the early to mid-17th century, with later extensions. The building features square-panelled timber-framing with rendered infill, and the gable end facing the road is constructed from large blocks of squared and dressed limestone. The main body of the house has a Roman tile roof, while the extensions have stone slate roofs. There is a 20th-century brick stack and a rendered stack. The main structure is rectangular, with a later extension added to the left gable end and another at right angles to the rear. The two-windowed facade is illuminated by 3-light wooden casements with glazing bars. A central 20th-century gabled painted brick porch has a blocked entrance. There is also a blocked single-light window with a timber lintel on the ground floor of the gable end facing the road, and a single-light casement in the attic. Access to the house is now through a 20th-century lean-to porch attached to the extension on the left gable end. The interior has not been inspected.
