Description

Pink Cottage is a detached house, likely dating from the 17th century, but with significant reconstruction in the 19th century. It is built of coursed rubble, formerly painted, with large alternating quoins. The roof is tiled, with coped gables and a stone gable stack to the street-facing gable, topped with a cap and skirt. The house is two storeys and has an attic, with a two-window front. It features 2-light chamfer mullion casements with flush stone surrounds. There are 20th-century gabled dormers, and a former central door has been replaced with a window matching the adjacent ones. A left-hand extension has a pair of 20th-century French doors. Inside, the rooms have chamfered beams and a deep bressummer fireplace at the gable end facing the road. A gabled garage has been added adjacent to the street.
