Description

Warren Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with alterations made in the early 18th century and possibly further changes in the 1920s by Sir P. Stott. The building is constructed from coursed, squared stone and features stone slates. It has a 'T' plan with a three-room front and a rear wing, standing two and a half storeys high.

The front elevation includes all mullioned windows with hoodmoulds, featuring a four-light window on the ground floor with two inset sashes and a six-light window that has iron opening lights. There is a boarded door accessed by three semi-circular stone steps, topped with a four-centred arch, sunk spandrels, and a hoodmould. To the right, there is another four-light window. On the first floor, there are three-light and four-light windows, the latter featuring a king mullion, with a four-light window on the right.

The left side has two large parapet gables, each with a two-light window and a cross-gablet apex. There is a pedimented dormer on the right with a two-light casement, and a parapet gable with a ridge chimney that has a moulded cap at the right end. The left door has a ridge chimney with a crenellated cap, while the left end chimney has been rebuilt in the late 20th century. The interior has not been inspected.
