Description
Manor Farmhouse and Jesters is a former farmhouse that has been converted into two attached houses. It dates back to the 17th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed from coursed, squared stone, except for the left end which is made of rubble, and it features a stone slate roof.
The structure has three windows on the right side and two on the left, and it is two stories tall with a projecting 2½-story gabled wing in the middle, which is one room deep. The right-hand section includes mullioned windows with hoodmoulds, a plinth, two 3-light windows, and a boarded door located in the corner, accessed by four quadrant stone steps with a Tudor arch. There is an open, single-storey porch above the door supported by a turned wooden column at the corner, topped with a hipped roof. Above the porch, there are two 2-light windows and one 3-light window, with parapet gables at both ends. The building has a ridge chimney located in the center and another at the left end, both with moulded caps.
The projecting wing on the left has a plinth and features a 4-light ovolo-moulded window with a king mullion and hoodmould, with 'I B M' inscribed on the stone above. There is a three-light window above this, also with a hoodmould, and a single-light window under the eaves on the right return. An additional 2-light window in the attic has a hoodmould, and the wing has a parapet gable with a cross-gablet apex. The right side of the wing has a cross roof leading up to the gable of the right wing. The left wing is set back and lacks a plinth, featuring two 2-light ovolo-moulded mullion windows with hoodmoulds, which were renewed in the 20th century, and a beam end between them. Above, there is another 2-light ovolo-moulded window. An ashlar chimney with a moulded cap is located on the ridge at the left end. The interior has not been inspected.
