Description
The Homestead is a house dating from the 17th century, with a later extension. It features square-panelled timber framing with rendered brick infill and a thatched roof adorned with decorative ridge thatching. There is a painted coursed squared and dressed limestone extension, and a brick stack on the main body of the house. To the left gable end, there is a rectangular plan extension. The rear includes a lean-to and a rendered brick extension, which are not of special interest.
The north-facing elevation displays, from left to right, a 20th-century glass door with glazing bars, a pair of three-light casements with glazing bars, and a fixed casement with leaded panes. There is also a two-light eyebrow dormer with leaded panes located at the upper left, along with another 20th-century glass door featuring horizontal glazing bars and a single-light casement with leaded panes on the upper floor. The east gable end of the main body is hipped. The interior has not been inspected.
