Description

No.15 Barton Street is a small house in a row, dating to the early 19th century. It occupies a very narrow former burgage plot. The exterior is characterised by Flemish bond brickwork, a tile roof, and a brick lateral stack. This is a narrow, three-storey property with a basement, featuring a single window front. The upper floors have plain sashes in exposed boxes, with segmental brick arches above and no sills. The ground floor has a canted oriel with plain sashes, and a pavement access leads to the cellar. The parapet is stepped upwards to the left. A tall brick stack is located towards the rear of the property. The interior includes an early 19th century winder staircase and original joinery, including plank doors.
