Description

This well head, located approximately 100 meters east of Brockworth Court, dates from the 18th century and was likely constructed around the same time as the walled garden to the south of Brockworth Court. It is a small square building made of irregularly bonded red brick, set on a coursed squared and dressed limestone plinth, with chamfered quoins. There are traces of an arched opening on the west side, which was once flanked by limestone columns with carved capitals; however, only one of these capitals remains. At the time of the last survey in December 1986, the roof had collapsed, and the building was generally overgrown.
