Description

SO 81 NE BROCKWORTH COURT ROAD

(east side) 3/38 Well Head c100m east of Brockworth Court

GV II

Well head. C18, probably built at the same time as the walled garden to the south of Brockworth Court (q.v.). Irregularly bonded red brick on a coursed squared and dressed limestone plinth, chamfered quoins. Small square building. Traces of arched opening in the west side formerly flanked by limestone columns with carved capitals of which only one now remains. The roof of the building collapsed and the whole building generally overgrown at the time of resurvey, (December 1986).
