Description
The wall south of Brockworth Court is likely from the 18th century and was probably constructed at the same time as the well head. It is made of red brick, featuring flat chamfered quoins and a plinth with flat-chamfered capping. Some sections of the wall are built in English bond, while others have an irregular bond, with several areas appearing to have been rebuilt early on. There is a short section of 20th-century red brick wall that retains the earlier wall on the west side, and another short section made of ashlar blocks on the west side. The wall extends south from the southwest corner of Brockworth Court for approximately 70 meters, then turns east for about 50 meters, although this section is interrupted by the road. It then returns north from the southeast corner, which is not of special interest. The wall's height varies between 2 and 4.5 meters, and the upper part is mostly covered by ivy.
