Description

The John Barnes monument is located in the churchyard of the Church of St Michael and All Angels, approximately 45 meters south of the south porch. This pedestal monument is dedicated to John Barnes of Woodmancote, who died in 1749, along with other family members. It is made of sandstone and features a moulded plinth with inset corners, a fluted frieze, and a moulded capping with a pyramidal upper capping stone. The upper part of the monument seems to have been painted black in the past.
