Description

This is a semi-detached house dated to the 17th century. Originally constructed with square-panelled timber framing and passing braces, it features brick infill and a limestone plinth. The front elevation was later clad or replaced with painted brick. The roof is thatched, with decorative ridge thatching. The house has an 'L' shaped plan and one-and-a-half storeys. The front has two windows: a large, two-light 19th-century metal casement on the left, potentially marking the site of a former doorway, and a smaller two-light 19th-century casement to the right. Two eyebrow dormers with three-light casements in heavy wooden frames are positioned on the first floor. Access is via a 20th-century plank door set within a concrete surround at the right gable end. The interior has not been inspected. The building holds group value as an example of a vernacular building.
