Hotel. Early C19 front, some C17 work within. Flemish bond brickwork, timber-framing to rear, tile or slate roofs. In 2 units; a 3-bay former house to the left, and a broad 3-bay frontage plus carriage throughway to the right, facing earlier work. 2 storeys, 3:3:1-windowed. All 12- or 16-pane sashes to splayed V-joint lintels and stone cills, except large 24-pane sash above the carriageway. Bay 2 of the first floor is a blind opening. Far left, a C20 glazed door with sidelight, and a further C20 entrance on return wall in carriageway. Slight plinth, coped parapet, with, at centre, 2 narrow hipped roofs at right angles to street. Straight joints each side of centre block, and carriage opening to steel joist. Various brick stacks. At the back are various extensions, and one steep-pitched boarded gable to timber-framed unit. INTERIOR not inspected.
