Description

Kingswood Cottage is an 18th-century house in a row, located on the north side of Gloucester Street in Winchcombe. The building is constructed of squared rubble and has a concrete tile roof. It has a very narrow frontage and a T-shaped plan, standing one storey high with an attic. The front features a one-windowed facade; above a late 20th-century replacement mullion and transome wood casement window is a two-light casement gabled dormer. A late 20th-century glazed door is set under a flat hood supported by brackets on the left side of the facade. A large stone chimney stack has been raised with brickwork at the right gable. This modest cottage is a survivor from a period of small-scale street development, now situated between later rebuildings.
