Description
Nos 45, 47, and 49 on Gloucester Street are three houses built in a row. They feature a 19th-century facade but have a structure that dates back to the 17th century. The houses are made of squared and coursed limestone and have a stone slate mansard roof that is half-hipped on the left side. There are brick stacks on the right gable and near the hipped end. The buildings are two storeys tall with attics and have a 1+2-window arrangement. At the mansard break, there are three 2-light dormers with leading, and each level has small sash windows under segmental heads. Below, there are two 3-light plain chamfer stone mullioned casements with stopped drips on the ground floor, all featuring leading. To the left of the mullioned windows, there is an opening to a throughway that shows wide-spaced box timber framing, and to the left of this is a 4-panel door that is flush under a segmental head.
