Description

Two attached houses, dating from the early 18th century, are situated in Minchinhampton. The properties are constructed of coursed and random rubble limestone with ashlar chimneys and a stone slate roof. They are two storeys with an attic, and include a return wing at the south end.

The west front has a two-window arrangement. The ground floor features restored three-light, chamfered mullioned casements with hood moulds; the upper floor has three-light casements without hoods. A central doorway is topped with a hoodmould and contains a six-panel door. Two gabled dormers are situated in the eaves, each with timber casements. Two ridge chimneys are present, one roughly central.

The south end has a single mullioned window on each floor, both two-light and with hood moulds, though the ground floor is largely obscured by a 20th-century glazed conservatory. A three-light upper floor casement is present in the wing to the right. A gabled stair turret is set into the angle with the return wing, and a flat-roofed addition to the end of the return wing is not considered to be of particular architectural interest. The interior of the building has not been inspected.
