Description

Beehive Cottage is a small house attached to the south-east side of The Beehive. It dates from the mid-to-late 18th century. The construction is of random rubble limestone with ashlar chimneys and a stone slate roof. The house is two storeys high with an attic. The front elevation has a single, three-light chamfered mullioned casement window on each floor. An off-centre gabled attic dormer contains a 20th-century casement window. A lean-to porch is located in the angle with The Beehive. A two-storey, flat-roofed addition on the south-east end, dating from the 20th century, is not considered to be of particular architectural interest. The interior remains uninspected. The building is included on the register for its group value alongside The Beehive.
