Description
The Old School House is a dwelling that was formerly a school, built in the mid-19th century. It features squared and dressed limestone over marlstone, with a part parallel range and a bell turret on the north gable. The building has a gabled porch that projects to the east and two stone stacks at the ridge, situated between paired windows. It is a single storey with four windows, each having two lights with stone mullions and stopped drips. The central plank door is set under a four-centred arch in the porch, which also has small side lights. On the right gable, there is a large three-light window under a four-centred arch, with a small lancet window above it. Although the interior has been modified to create a dwelling, the exterior remains relatively unchanged and is included in the listing primarily for its group value.
