Description
Church Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th or 17th century. It is constructed of squared and coursed marlstone with a stone slate roof. The building has a T-plan layout, featuring a gable facing the street and a short central wing that projects to the south. The long block has gables that are coped, with an off-centre stack on the left side, likely opposite the former entrance from the south.
The farmhouse has 2½ storeys. The gable facing the road has one window, while the ground and first floors each have a 3-light window, and the gable features a 2-light window. The windows have hollow chamfered mullions and stopped drips, except for the ground floor window, which is wooden and lacks a drip. The south front includes modern casements to the left of the gable, along with a series of 4, 3, and 2-light windows with hollow moulded mullions and stopped drips on the projecting gable. There are also two 2-light windows to the right of the gable and one partly obscured opening on the first floor at the junction with the T-arm. The north front has a 2+2 window arrangement with 2-light windows, and at the left end, near the road, there is a modern door beneath a stopped drip.
