Description

Manor Lodge is a mid-19th century dwelling, built in a Cotswold Tudor style. It is constructed of squared and coursed marlstone with a concrete tile roof. The building has an L-shaped plan, with a gabled return on the left side. It features two rendered and ashlar stacks with moulded cappings, and coped gables. The facade is one and a half storeys high, with a 1+1 window arrangement, featuring 1, 2 or 3 light chamfered stone mullioned windows, each with stopped drips. A plank and batten 19th-century door is set within a 4-centred head and label. A blank shield is set within a sunk square panel in the wall above the door. The lodge is positioned axially opposite the Manor Hotel, but is not on the main access route to it.
