Description

Woodend Green Farmhouse is a late 17th or early 18th century farmhouse, with significant alterations to the front facade. It is constructed of squared and coursed marlstone concrete tile and is arranged in a T-plan. A large brick stack is located close to the ridge at the down end, and an external stack is at the eaves on the back left side of the projecting wing. The farmhouse has two storeys and an attic. The front, originally six windows wide, now has three blocked openings at the first floor level. The windows are 20th century casements, except for a three-light casement at ground floor level, centred on bays five and six. A six-panel door is located off-centre to the right, in bay four, and is sheltered by a segmental hood. Small two-light casements are found in the gable ends, illuminating the attic space.
