Description

The William Bendall chest tomb, located approximately 8 meters northeast of the porch to the Church of St. Cyr, is a mid-18th century structure made of limestone. It features a moulded capping and plinth in a baroque style, with an enriched cartouche on the south side that includes a putto and an inscription dedicated to William Bendall, dated 1765. The end panels are adorned with an enriched string, and the east side displays a representation of books. The tomb is situated on a raised area that is enclosed by a stone curb containing ledger slabs, which are not included in the listing.
