Description

Wildgoose Cottage is a small detached cottage, possibly dating from the late 15th century. It features plastered infill within large panel timber-framing, set on a brick plinth, with a base cruck on the left-hand return. The cottage has a half-hipped tile roof at both ends and a large external brick stack at the right end. It is a single range of one storey and an attic. The nearly central 20th-century door is flanked by two-light casements, with the far-right window being a square oriel supported by brackets and topped with a moulded cornice. A large 20th-century flat-roofed dormer is located at the centre front. Although the interior is not accessible, it is reported to contain three pairs of crucks.
