Description
Tankard House is a detached house built in the early 19th century. It features random and coursed rubble limestone, with chimneys rebuilt in ashlar and concrete block. The roofs are made of stone and Welsh slate. The house has a central block that is two stories with an attic, flanked by a single-story section to the west and a two-story section to the east.
The front of the house has three windows in the central part, all of which are leaded iron casements with keyed stone lintels. There is a central doorway that includes a six-panel door and a decorative iron porch topped with a tent hood. Two gabled dormers are mounted on the eaves. The gable end chimneys have chamfered caps. To the right, there is an addition that projects forward, featuring a single leaded casement window on each floor. The interior has not been inspected.
