Description

Draycott Farmhouse is a former farmhouse that dates back to the early 17th century. The building is constructed from squared rubble and features a concrete tile roof, while an extension to the right is made of brick with a pantile roof, and a stair turret has a gabled stone slate roof. The farmhouse is a long block with a two-storey porch located off-centre to the right, and there is a modern extension at the back left. The building has ashlar stacks with moulded cappings, with a double stack on the left gable and single stacks on the centre and right gables.

It stands two storeys tall with an attic and has a four-windowed facade. The windows include modern two-light casements, a three-light window on the ground floor to the left, and single lights at both levels immediately to the right of the porch. There is also a single light above the porch doorway, all featuring stopped drips and deep stooled cills. The porch cheeks have small fixed lights on the ground floor. The entrance has a four-panel painted door beneath a heavy 'Tudor' head.

On the left gable, there is a single light on the ground floor to the right of the fireplace, a two-light window above it, and two very small fixed lights with flush surrounds in the attic. The back elevation has a similar small light on the top floor, extreme left. Inside, there is a cross passage and a main open fire with a bressumer on the left gable of the ground floor. A later stair is located in the original half-cylinder turret. A fine broad plank door, which was originally at the end of the cross passage, has been reset to provide access to the back wing.
