Description
Oak Cottage is a small detached cottage that likely originated as part of a row known as Martins Row, dating from the 17th century. The cottage features square panel timber-framing with rendered infill and has a steeply pitched double Roman tile roof, supported by two small brick stacks at the ends and on the ridge. It is a single long range, comprising one storey and an attic. The roof includes two 2-light raking dormers on the eaves and there are several small 4-pane casement windows scattered across the façade. To the right, there is a plank door, while a 20th-century door is located to the left, leading into a lobby entry that also features a 20th-century conservatory.
