Description
Parkland Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse located on Whitminster School Lane. The building is constructed of brick on a brick plinth with a chamfered edge in stone and features a tile roof with rebuilt brick end stacks. It consists of a single range of two storeys and an attic, with a single-storey wing to the left and a small rear range to the left that likely forms the core of an older building.
The facade includes three 19th-century plain paired casement windows with painted voussoirs and a small projecting keystone, along with a two-brick string course between the floors. There are also two widely spaced hipped dormers with two lights each. The central entrance features a plank door with painted voussoirs, sheltered by an early 19th-century wrought iron porch with a flat hood. The left-hand wing, which is probably slightly later, has a three-light casement window with a cambered head. The rear range is two storeys high, resting on a stone base that has been raised in brick.
