Description
High Street Antiques is a former house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the early to mid-18th century and features a 20th-century shopfront. The building is constructed from coursed and squared limestone, with coursed rubble on the end gable, and has an ashlar chimney and a concrete tile roof. It is two stories tall with an attic.
The front of the building has a central glazed door flanked by plate glass shop windows, all set beneath a timber lintel. To the right, there is a former three-centred arched stone door head above the lintel. On the upper floor, there is a central three-light chamfered mullioned casement window. The eaves are coved in stone. At the north end, there is a gable-mounted chimney with a moulded cap and an off-centre single-light attic window with a leaded iron casement. The rear of the building features a gabled rear wing. The interior has not been inspected.
