Description

St Luke’s Cottage is a house within a row, dating from the late 17th or early 18th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century. It is constructed of random rubble limestone and has a concrete tile roof. The house is two storeys high with an attic. The front elevation features a single window on each floor, set within chamfered openings and with stone lintels. A four-pane sash window is present on the ground floor, and a casement window above. A doorway on the left side has a stone lintel and a four-panel door. An off-centre gabled roof dormer window contains a 20th-century casement. The rear of the house has a gabled wing with a rebuilt chimney. The interior was not inspected. The building is included on the heritage list for its group value.
