Description

The Epicurean is a house and shop built in the mid-19th century. It features limestone ashlar construction and a Welsh slate roof, which has a coped left side and an ashlar stack with moulded capping. The building is two storeys high and has a full-width shop front made of 19th-century plate glass, with a deep recessed door, all set beneath a moulded stone string. The upper level displays bold V-joint quoins, a frieze, a moulded cornice, and a blocking to the parapet. There is one 12-pane sash window and one 9-pane window, both in their original sash openings.
