Description
This is a barn located approximately 10 meters south of Ruscombe Farmhouse, dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed from coursed and squared rubble limestone and features a concrete tile roof. The barn has five bays and does not have porches. On the west side, there is a central doorway with a timber lintel and later sliding plank doors. The structure includes tall slit vents, a chamfered plinth, and gable end slits, with a loft doorway at the south end. Oval owl holes are present in the gable ends. Inside, the barn has a five-bay collar and tie-beam truss roof supported by two rows of purlins. The barn is included for its group value with the surrounding buildings.
