Former mill owner's house, in process of conversion to flats at time of survey (September 1986). Early C18, enlarged and remodelled c1789. Ashlar and coursed rubble limestone; rebuilt ashlar chimneys; artificial slate roof. Double pile plan; 3- storey with attic. East front: 5-window fenestration 12-pane sashes to ground and middle floors, 9-pane to upper floor, all in plain openings. Central doorway with round arched opening; Ionic portico porch with dated tympanum. String course at head-level of ground floor windows. Moulded modillion cornice with plain parapet. Rebuilt hipped roof with two C20 flush rooflights. West front: largely as east but with C20 altered doorway with keyed round arched opening and cornice. North side: central break-line in masonry with blocked earlier 2-window fenestration to left - recorded as being cross-windows. Two doorways with stone lintels. Further range of windows to right.
