Description
Belvedere Mill is a former cloth mill, now used as offices, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble limestone and topped with a Welsh slate roof. The building is three storeys high with an attic and features a three-storey wing on the east side.
On the east side, there are five segmental arched small paned casements on each floor, and to the right, a large brick-lined round arch leads to the mill stream. To the left, there is an attached sluice gate apparatus. The south side has two gables on the main block, each with a single-window segmental arched casement below. The rear wing, which is set back to the left, has a step in the roof at its midpoint.
The north side also has two gables on the main block, but these have largely been altered with 20th-century windows and infill below. The rear wing features a large segmental archway. The interior has not been inspected. The mill is situated in a picturesque position next to a mill pond and is also known as Tayloe's Mill, named after its 18th-century owners.
