Description
The sheepwash, dating from the late 18th to 19th century, is constructed from dressed stone. It features a circular dip that is fed and drained by a leat, with an access ramp and steps on one side. This structure is located next to Thatched Cottage, which was formerly known as Sheepwash House and is mentioned in the estate records of the Manor of the Earl of Sherbourne from 1567.
