Description

Abbots Oak is a dwelling from the 18th century located in Wotton-under-Edge. The building features rough render and a Welsh slate roof. It was originally two separate dwellings, which is reflected in the roof that has two different heights. There is a brick stack at the right end and a projecting wing at the back. The structure has three storeys and three windows, with the lower two storeys arranged in a pattern of two windows, a door, and one window. The top floor has two-light casement windows, while the other floors have sash windows without bars. The entrance features a six-light fielded panel door that is topped with a flat hood supported by wooden consoles. The right half of the building has three storeys and one window, which includes a projecting hexagonal oriel window with sash windows that have bars.
