Description

Nos. 4 and 6 Haw Street are early 19th-century dwellings, forming a double "horse unit" of only one room depth. They are three storeys high, with each dwelling being identical and featuring a three-window arrangement. The windows are sash windows with bars and broad surrounds. The ground and first floors have stepped voussoirs with projecting keys, while the top floor is under the eaves. A central opening on the top floor was later blocked. The central doorway is an arched sash window, and the entrances feature six-panel fielded doors with radial fanlights within Doric doorcases with open pediments. The building is constructed of good brickwork with a slate roof, while the returns and rear are of rubble stone.
