Description
No. 102 Northgate Street is a shop and former dwelling from the early 19th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed of brick with stone details and features a slate roof and a brick stack. It has a double-depth block with a rear wing. The exterior consists of three storeys, topped with a stone-coped parapet. The ground floor has a late 20th-century shop front that is deeply recessed between the side walls. On each of the upper floors, there are two sash windows with glazing bars, arranged in a 3x4 pane configuration, set in openings with flat-arched heads made of five raised-and-stepped stone voussoirs and projecting stone sills. The interior has not been inspected.
