Description
Western Lodge is a forest lodge built in the early to mid 19th century. It features coursed and dressed rubblestone with quoin blocks and has a slate roof with coped gables and two stone stacks at the ends. The building is two storeys high and consists of a single range with a rear outshut. There are three windows, which are 16-pane sashes, each with large stone lintels, architraves, and sills. Above the half-glazed four-panel door, there is a flat stone hood supported by moulded consoles. As of July 1984, there are two solar panels on the roof.
