Description
The Vicarage is a vicarage dating from the 1820s, likely built around the same time as the Church of St. Paul in 1822. Constructed from ashlar Forest stone, it features a hipped tile roof with a central oval skylight and paired diagonally-set brick flues on stone stacks. The design is in the Gothick style. The building is square in shape, with a single-story wing extending to the south, housing the main entrance. Windows are scattered across the facade, all featuring Gothick pointed lights with glazing bars forming small panes, and Y tracery. Most windows have square hood moulds, and there is an oriel window on the west side. The entrance features double doors with studs and four panels. Inside, original features remain, including panelled doors, doorcases, a staircase, and plasterwork, all in the Gothick style, with a vaulted stairwell leading to the skylight. The main room on the south side of the ground floor is entirely panelled on the walls and ceiling, incorporating a matching fireplace.
