Description
The former toll house, now a private house, dates from the 19th century and was enlarged around 1906. It is constructed of squared rubblestone with brick dressings and features a hipped tile roof with two rendered stacks. The building has a rectangular shape with a half hexagon at the junction of two roads. Each of the three angles has a three-light window, which includes casements and a ventilator. On the corner, there is a reused large 19th-century gabled porch with a pointed arch and a half gate leading to the door behind it. Above the porch, there is a plaque inscribed with "Enlarged 1906 (crown) E R VII ESH PB COMMR DEP.SUR." Additionally, there is a small 20th-century lean-to addition on the north side.
