1/33 Browne memorial, about 8 metres south of Machen Chapel, in church- yard of Church of St. Mary the Virgin

Chest tomb, John Browne died 1719. Sandstone. Flat top with moulded capping and plinth. Short ends have on east side rosette in oval surround with carved edge and on west side drapery festoon in rectangular surround with egg and dart moulding. Inscription on north side indecipherable; on south in rectangular panel with fluted edging decoration.
