Description

This is a 17th-century table tomb located south of the Church of St Mary the Virgin. It features a stone base and walls made of red brick, with plain stone pilasters at the corners and a stone slab on top. The tomb bears an inscription commemorating William Browne, who died in 1653, his wife Sarah, who died in 1643, and their son, who may have died in 1711. The tomb is situated approximately 2.5 meters south of the south chapel of the parish church, which was the chancel before alterations made in 1886.
