Description
Boundary walls and a gate in the approach to Hoggins Farmhouse date from the 19th century and are constructed of sandstone. The walls are made of squared and coursed rubble, standing approximately 1.5 meters high, and feature weathered sandstone capping. They create a segmental entry from the main road on the right to the front wall of the farmhouse on the left, which includes a plank gate set in haunched jambs. The left wall does not extend to the front of the house, and the walls are about 4 meters apart. These walls play an important role in the setting of the farmhouse.
