Description

This is an unidentified chest tomb located about 3.5 metres south of the Biggs memorial in the churchyard of the Church of St Mary the Virgin. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of sandstone. The tomb features a flat top with indented corners, elaborately moulded capping and base, and long quarter balusters. The long sides have inscriptions that are difficult to read, presented in rectangular panels with concave corners. The east end is decorated with linear foliage and includes a small coat of arms.
