Description
The monument to James Woodhouse is located in the churchyard, approximately 1 metre east of the chancel wall of the Church of St Mary and St Peter. This chest tomb dates from the early 19th century and is made of sandstone. It features a flat top with a chamfered under-edge and plain quarter balusters. The north and south sides have drafted panels, and the tomb has a chamfered base, all set on a platform. It commemorates James Woodhouse, who passed away in 1811.
